I decided that a black Blackberry looked a bit dull and boring so I decided to get the Blackberry white instead. Most of my friends have the black versions but I just find the white is so much easier on the eye. Nice to be different when you can in my book.
I went for the Torch version in the end & have been very pleased with my phone so far. Once you begin to find you way around & get used to the settings you start to realise just what a capable phone this is.
Blackberrys have often been considered the poor relation compared to the iPhone but the Torch however has really closed the gap on the iphone 4, making it harder to choose between the two.
I love the slide out QWERTY keyboard & whilst it is harder to text with just one hand it is great for blasting out a long detalied text or email with two hands. I use mine to update many of my blogs & other online commitments whilst travelling on busses & trains to & from work.
The speed of the operating system is the best I have used on any previous phone I have had. The phone is lightning fast & multitasking is responsive with little evidence of any delay when switching between apps. The system search works perfectly and the results are instant. It even includes the manual so if you’re not sure how to do something then just type from the home screen and you will get a list of possible solutions.
I think the camera & video are very good (for a phone) but then again I have a Nikon Digital SLR so no phones are going to beat one of those in terms of quality & I have a dedicated HD camcorder so again the video isn’t going to compare but I dont always have those with me but I always have my phone.
One thing that has really suprised me though is the battery life. It’s amazing. I expected it to last half as long as it does. After a hard day of app use its still over half so an overnight stay without your charger shouldnt cause to many problems.
Overall this is the best phone I have ever had but then again it should be. It’s the one of the latest smartphones out there. Although it’s the cheapest smartphone out there it sure is one of the best.
If you are seriously thinking about getting one you wont regret it.

update….
Took mine to the Goodwood festival of Speed & in the rush (left at 3.30 am) my camera was left behind so had to use the Blackberry for photo’s & it took some really good quality images so it saved the day in that respect. See the “sample pics” tab at the top of the page to see just how good the images are on the phone.

I saw this really great post today….
